A few examples are Scarf Jirachi (lol hax), Crobat, Mega Aerodactyl, Entei, Mega Beedrill, Mega Pidgeot, Yanmega (with Speed Boost I guess), Scarfed Chandelure, Scarf Darmanitan, Blissey, Fletchlinder, Rotom-H, and Tornadus. And these checks aren't uncommon by any means. I don't think it would that well in UU because there are a ton of checks to it in that meta. However, the lack of power beforehand along with the underwhelming movepool and typing let it down, which are the reasons this thing isn't broken by any means. Overall, good speed, decent bulk, good ability and it's interesting to see Contrary on a fast Pokemon. This is detrimental to its performance as it gives your opponent time to switch out to their check or counter. It only gives its all against strong opponents who are not fazed by the glare from Serperior’s noble eyes. They raise their heads to intimidate opponents but only give it their all when fighting a powerful opponent. Largely relies on a couple of boosts to actually dish out big damage. It takes in solar energy and boosts it internally. Moreover, your grass attack only do 1/4 damage. So even when it hits things super effectively with those moves the damage is kinda underwhelming. Serperior can be walled completely by Steel types, especially the commonly-seen Ferrothorn since you can use Leech Seed and Toxic. Although a combination of Grass, Dragon and Fire is unresisted (I forgot Heatran and Mega Cloud), Dragon Pulse and HP Fire are both non-stab and kinda low BP. Dragon Pulse is decent but its best option other than that is the weak Hidden Power. Mono-grass isn't the best type both offensively and defensively. As with any Pokemon, weaken its checks or counters and you have yourself quite an easy win-con.Ĭould potentially give stall teams some difficult problems with the constant boosts. It also makes your opponent hesitant to go for Defog (free Evasion boost). Whether you use it to learn competitive battling, to practice, or just use it for recreation, you are welcome to this community. It comes with many different servers and a plethora of features such as fan-made tiers and chatrooms to fit your style. Other Contrary uses such as screwing over web teams as it gets a free speed boost upon switch in. Pokmon Showdown is a free, web-based battle simulator. This goes well with Giga Drain as its last move (Leaf Storm, Dragon Pulse, HP Fire, Giga Drain or Sub with Lefties) Can actually take hits which is pretty good considering it's forced to run Life Orb to secure KOs. 113 is a good, trolly speed tier, outspeeding the likes of Mega Lucario by just one point.įairly bulky. I'd say this thing would end up high in RU, like S or A+, at most it could see UU.įast. You're not wrong, it's actually not THAT good as a lot of very excited people make it out to be.
